Dom-
I have been meaning to write you for a while now, but I have been waiting for a decent day on the water for Titus. We have been hunting waterfowl about every weekend and he is doing really well. The down side is that early in the season there are not a ton of birds. Last weekend we had our first semi productive evening. We were hunting a large pond with a long slew that came from a large lake. The wind was blowing fairly hard and it was pushing birds right into our laps. We ended up shooting 3 drake American Shovelers and 4 Redheads, 2 drakes and 2 hens. Titus did great retrieving all 7 birds. the wind was blowing hard enough that Titus would momentarily loose sight of the birds in the water. He would then pick his chest up out of the water until he would catch sight of the bird again. It was very cool to see the determination and heart he has. I am working with him in the upland bird areana, although it is hard to find a good solid place to train. His formal obedience is coming along nicely and his temperment is great. At our last check up right at about 6 months he was weighing in around 62 pounds and coming along nicely. Thank you for caring about the breed and as a breeder breeding the highest quality Chessies around. Hope all is well in Stanwood. Talk to you soon.

Norene and Dom,
Hey, I finally figured out where the name Nordom comes from.
Thank you for the pictures. They are great!
News! I've worked with Rouser each day. He is responding very well to my directions and I am understanding his abilities. He is adapting well to our home and his new kennel. Rouser and Bridget (lab) have already become good friends. They love to play.
I am finding a need for a training collar to help in sharpening Rouser's skills.
Rouser is a great chessie!
Thanks,
Jerry

Dom and Norene,
This afternoon there were geese flying at the back of our property which is bordered by a slough. Rouser and I took a walk back there and within 30 minutes we got 3 geese. All three retrieves were across the slough, up the other side, and back again. I've attached a picture taken when we walked back home.
Rouser is much more than I expected. We actually got a teal this morning, too.

Thanks for putting Hawkeye's JH title on your website, we were really excited to see him pass. I see that he is the only one out there without a photo, so I have attached a pictured of him.
Hope Rebel & Dancer did well in Carnation this last weekend. And, thanks for such a great dog. We can't wait to use him this coming hunting season.

Are you guys planning to breed a litter of pups any time soon?? We purchased a female Chesapeake from you in 2001 and are looking for another female. Paige was one of Quik’s pups. We love her and she’s great with our two young boys. Thanks

Hello to you! Just wanted to get you a little update on Chessey...She's been somewhat re-named to "Chesapeake-AH". It just seems to get her attention better. The first few weeks were sorta hilarious for lack of a better word. She is the complete opposite of our Harvey..Like Yin and Yang. She has by the way, already swam out to the middle of a small lake following her big brother. Very brave little one. So curious and gung ho. She's turned out to be a momma's girl. What do ya know, another dog who will surely do as Josh says. She's AWESOME though, wouldn't trade her for the world. Thank you again. I will try to attach a photo but i'm not so computer savvy so if you get it great...If not Harvey and Ches have their own, yes their own myspace.com page under "iamdabombdog" if you wanna check it out. For people like us who don't really want kids, your Chesapeakes bring us much JOY!!!
PS Oh yeah "Harvey" is from the 2 puppy litter of Quik and Bobbie...I totally got the dogs all mixed up when talking to Dom. It's just how I am. :) Harvey is gonna be 5 in August. He ownes the nickname of "The Best Brown Dog!!!"

Dom/Norene~
I have diligently been checking the website to see if a new litter has arrived. I know it says October, but I am just being hopeful. I love to see the new pictures of all of the puppies.
Hawkeye is doing great! He is such a good dog. We had a baby in March and we were a little nervous about how he would react with a little one, but he has done super. He really doesn't like it when the baby cries. He hides upstairs when he gets really upset. I have attached a couple of recent pictures of Hawkeye.
The litter in October, are you still taking deposits or is the litter spoken for? We have a friend who is interested in getting a Chessie.
I hope all is going great with the both of you and with the dogs.
Take care,
Amanda & Mike
