Puppy Information

How we raise our litters:

From birth to 3 - 3 1/2 weeks puppies are raised with mom in a climate controlled whelping area. While here they will be given "ENS". This environment is quiet, calm and safe. They receive handling many times daily.

At 3 - 3 1/2 weeks pups are moved to a 'wholesome outdoor environment'. Their living quarters are a 14' x 14' enclosure with a roof and access to a large climate controlled dog condo, if they choose to use it! Besides ongoing socialization with people & children, they are introduced to 'outdoor noises' such as tractors, mowers, dogs barking, gun shots, etc.

Around 5 weeks of age they are taken on daily rides in a 'Kawasaki Mule' to our field to experience the many things that nature has to offer: Romping through tall grass, running through the field pond, smells and sights that bring out the curiosity of 'puppies' enhancing their development. Around this time they will also be introuduced to birds.

The above insures that our puppies are well socialized & acclimated to both indoor & outdoor environments so that they can easily adjust to their 'New Homes'.

It will be well Socialized - Introduced to new places, noises and situations.

It will be introduced to Birds and Shots, Water - if weather permits.

It will have dew claws removed.

It wiill be de-wormed as necessary.

It will recieve his first puppy shot between 6 - 7weeks.

It will be ready to go to his/her new home at 7-8 Weeks....Our option.

It will come with a 30 month written guarantee (hips,eyes).

It will be shipped from Sea-Tac Airport, Seattle, Washington - if required and sent C.O.D. for shipping charges. An additional fee of $150 is required for Crate, Health Certificate & Transportation fee to airport.

It will come with our puppy packet that contains, AKC registration papers, a complete 4 generation pedigee showing all available Titles, Ofa & Cerf Numbers in his/her background. Also included is a copy of Guarantee, Limited Registration Information (unless prior arrangements have been made pups are sold with a limited registration, until required health clearances are done), photos of his parents, our "Puppy Do's and Don'ts List", Health record and any information we feel is needed. Pup will come with a HomeAgain Micro-chip.

It will be invited to participate in our informative "Puppy Sessions" which will take place at Nordom.......date and time to be determined at the time pups go home.

You will be required to have "Nordom" as a prefix to his/her AKC registered name (unless prior arrangements have been made).

Total deposit of 1/2 price of pup is required once litter is whelped.......Balance to be paid in Full at time of pick-up of pup or prior to shipping...........Payment is to be made by Cash, Certified Check or Money Order Only.

NOTE: There is a kennel/breeder of CBR in Washington State, that has copied not only our format, but our words as well on our puppy information page which appears below under: "When you purchase a puppy from Nordom Chesapeakes". They have also copied our words/format/info on our "Puppy Deposit Form". The information on these pages has developed through the years from our experiences as breeders. It would be nice if people at least had the courtsey to ask before copying someone elses ideas & or words, & if it was alright to do so.
